A Thought…

Liberals are a reaction of the mass of people not liking a boot in their face.

I’m considerably impressed by conservatives’ optimism. Post apocalypse, they picture themselves sitting atop a throne of skulls, rather than being skull number 253 on the pile. In a monarchical system, they think they will be royalty, not one of the millions of peasants. And in the dog-eat-dog world of laissez faire capitalism, they imagine themselves titans of industry, not losing an arm in a meat grinder.

Such a rosy outlook must rest easy on the soul.
