Feature Requests and Bug Reports
« December 01, 2017, 11:58:01 AM »
Feature requests for PDF::Builder are handled under GitHub issues. On github.com, use (PhilterPaper / Perl-PDF-Builder) and select "enhancement" under "Labels". https://github.com/PhilterPaper/Perl-PDF-Builder/issues?q=is%3Aissue+sort%3Aupdated-desc+is%3Aopen. Please take a look to see if this request has already been made before starting a new issue.

New bug reports are handled under GitHub Issues. On github.com, use (PhilterPaper / Perl-PDF-Builder). https://github.com/PhilterPaper/Perl-PDF-Builder/issues?q=is%3Aissue+sort%3Aupdated-desc+is%3Aopen. This is also the list of currently active bugs. Kindly do not add a Label, as most are inappropriate here ("bug" is implied). Please take a look to see if this bug has already been reported, before starting a new issue. Also check the "closed" and "rejected" bugs first.

Closed bugs and problems which have been resolved, fixed, and put to bed are under GitHub Issues. On github.com, use (PhilterPaper / Perl-PDF-Builder). https://github.com/PhilterPaper/Perl-PDF-Builder/issues?q=is%3Aissue+sort%3Aupdated-desc+is%3Aclosed. You cannot create a new issue here. Note that a bug's fix should be in the GitHub code section, but may not appear on CPAN for a while (until the next release is dropped).

Bug reports and feature requests that have been rejected for whatever reason (no action to be taken), are also under "closed" GitHub Issues. On github.com, use (PhilterPaper / Perl-PDF-Builder). https://github.com/PhilterPaper/Perl-PDF-Builder/issues?q=is%3Aissue+sort%3Aupdated-desc+is%3Aclosed. There will be label (tag) such as "duplicate", "wontfix", or "invalid".

If you have opened an issue (bug report), and it seems to have disappeared, check the "closed" area to see if it has been resolved or rejected. Unless your "bug" was clearly spam or other nonsense, it should never simply vanish.

If you have something useful to add to the discussion of a feature request or a bug, please feel free to jump in. It's not limited to the original reporter and me! However, please don't post just to hear yourself talk, including "+1" posts. A "+1" tells me nothing -- I need to know why you approve of or support something! And finally, if you want to add to a bug or feature discussion, don't "hijack" it with something not closely related. Open a new feature request or bug report for that.
